RISK ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE FOR FELTWELL PARISH COUNCIL

Feltwell Parish Council owns the following items of property and has determined that they shall be regularly inspected according to the following schedule

VILLAGE SIGN  Oak Street  Visually inspected once a year in late Spring.
STREET LIGHTS  130 at various locations  Maintained under contract.
3 VILLAGE SEATS  High Street Bell Street, Lodge Road  Inspected once per year for damage, corrosion" rotting. Councillor/parishioners report any problems at other times.
3 BUS SHELTERS  High Street, Bell Street, Lodge Road  Non glass, metal structures. Checked annually for damage.
4 DOG BINS  Bell St, The Beck, High St, Old Methwold Rd  Emptied by Borough operative fortnightly. The operative reports any problems to Clerk. Bins very visible.
2 VILLAGE GREENS  Hill Street & Lodge Road  Cut monthly by maintenance contactors who report any damage that may constitute a safety risk.
WAR MEMORIAL & FENCE  Bell Street.  Area to be checked annually for damage to railings, gate & brickwork.

BOUNDARIES
 Hythe Road & Old Brandon Road.  Checked annually by inspection walk of Allotment Committee. Allotment tenants/representative report at other times. Contracts include requirements of good husbandry of the land.
PLAYING FIELD
PLAY AREA
 Paynes Lane  All equipment, tennis court, seating, bins, trees, boundaries, car park, entrances and changing rooms. Play area inspected annually by reputable firm, report items are noted and remedied. The whole area is inspected monthly by a Councillor, checklist completed and report to Council. The area is litter picked each week, any damage is reported to Clerk.
CHANGING ROOMS  Paynes Lane  Football clubs main users, any problems are reported by them. Inspected twice per year internally.
OFFICE EQUIPMENT  Held at 38 Paynes Lane  Clerk's responsibility.
NOTICE BOARD  St Mary's St  Used and inspected by Clerk regularly.
OAK GARDEN  Oak Street  Regularly visually inspected.
3 GRIT BINS  Entrance Newcombe Drive, 2 in The Beck  Filled by Highways

ADDITIONAL MEASURES

A RECORD OF ALL INSPECTIONS WILL BE KEPT.
A REMINDER THAT DAMAGE TO COUNCIL PROPERTY SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE CLERK WILL BE PUBLISHED REGULARLY IN THE VILLAGE MAGAZINE.
THE CLERK REQUIRED AND RETAINS COPIES OF H&S POLICIES AND LIABILITY INSURANCE OF ALL CONTRACTORS USED BY THE COUNCIL.
